Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 6 PM EST /5 PM CST/ this afternoon... Snow will continue today transitioning to lake effect snow showers with another 5 to 8 inches of snow accumulation possible by late this afternoon. The greatest snowfall amounts will occur over the higher terrain from Bergland to Rockland. Northwest winds gusting to 35 mph today will reduce visibility... especially in open areas. Western U.P. - March 1 In like a lion...officially at Ironwood, 14" in the past 24 hours...29" on the ground...Lake Effect warning in effect til 5 PM so may see a few more inches or so.
