For our second annual Bourbon & Bacon Bash, we are changing up last year’s hot event to a slopestyle throwdown. The Sizzler is open to all skiers and snowboarders who want to go all out for the sake of bacon and giveaways. This is a judged event and top finishers will walk away with some great prizes like Plath’s Meats bacon, BOYNE gift cards, and SWAG. The Sizzler will be a fast moving competition with music, an announcer, and various divisions based on the number of entrants. Each rider will get two runs and the opportunity for bonus points by hitting “The Sizzler” bacon feature located at the base of the Lower Heather Terrain Park.
Spectators are welcome so come on out! Join us to watch from the base and enjoy a mouthwatering pig roast and a bar. We will have music, a bonfire, and visits from Huey The Highlands Pup to make for a fun – and sizzling – afternoon on the slopes.

After careful consideration, we have decided to cancel Brew-Ski Festival at Boyne Highlands Resort scheduled for this Saturday, March 14. Amidst health concerns for COVID-19 (Coronavirus), we are thoroughly evaluating all areas of our business, heightening our cleaning protocols, and cancelling events that we feel have the highest levels of guest interaction within close proximities. Our top priority is always the safety and health of our guests and team members and this decision was not made lightly.
Anyone that has purchased advance tickets to the festival will be promptly refunded. If you have a lodging reservation to attend the festival this weekend, please contact our Reservations Department at 844.559.5592.
Daily resort operations will remain open. For resort travel information related to COVID-19, please visit bddy.me/2W8AIEM.
We thank you for your understanding, and look forward to seeing you at Boyne Highlands Resort soon!
