We invite you to relive the glory days of northern Michigan’s most popular teen club at Club Ponytail: A Reunion Party on Thursday, August 25, 2016 beginning at 5:30 pm. This throwback party of the summer will feature live music from The Boyfriends, an original Club Ponytail band. Tickets include a picnic dinner featuring hamburgers, brats and grilled chicken, salads and more with a cash bar. In addition, party goers can check out Club Ponytail memorabilia and hear a short presentation on the club by historian Rick Wiles.
Tickets to the party are $35.00 in advance and $40.00 at the door with all proceeds benefiting the Harbor Springs Area Historical Society. Tickets can be purchased by visiting the Harbor Springs History Museum, by calling (231) 526-9771 or at the link above.
The fun begins at 5:30 pm with a chance for guests to grab drinks and food before Rick Wiles’ presentation. His talk begins at 5:45 pm and will run for about thirty minutes. At 6:30 pm the original Boyfriends band will take the stage and knock out some classic tunes.
Club Ponytail was a teen club that opened in 1962 in the old Club Manitou building on Pleasantview Road in Harbor Springs. Club Ponytail enjoyed enormous success and drew national and international bands like the Beach Boys and the Animals to their stage. Though a fire destroyed the club in 1969, its history and the stories of those who spent their summers there remain. You won’t want to miss this chance to reminiscence and reunite with friends, neighbors and fellow “Tail goers.”

The only other money you will spend at the fair is for the great fair food from our many vendors, to play the fun carnival games and any of the merchandise you purchase on the grounds from one of our many vendors. Chairlift rides are on our Crystal Clipper Quad Chairlift located in the center of our frontside slopes. Tickets are available for purchase at the base of the Crystal Clipper. Cash bar available at the top of the mountain.
Cost: Chairlift rides are $7 per person. Houseguests and children 8 & under are free with a paying adult.
